Who runs the Food Truck Rodeo?

Durham Central Park!

Food Truck Rodeos do not just happen. They take weeks of planning, coordination and hundreds of emails. DCP wishes to recognize our stalwart organizers Ben Weber, Becky Hacker (Pie Pushers), Brian Bottger (Only Burger) and Jay Jones (Jay’s Italian Ice) whose hard work and dedication to the FTR concept has made the event a huge success.

Please take a minute to drop by their trucks and thank them.

What happens if it rains?

Food Truck Rodeos are rain or shine but some trucks may choose not to come if the weather is poor.

Can I bring my dog?

Yes. Dogs are welcome but please have them on a regular leash (not a retractable) and be prepared to clean-up after it if it makes a mess.

Is there seating?

Yes. There are some tables and benches throughout Durham Central Park. However, you are encouraged to bring chairs, blanket, tables and tents to set up in the park to enjoy the food and the atmosphere!

Where do I park?

Parking is available in the surface lots adjacent to the park in the 400 block of Foster Street and the 400 block of Morris Street. There are also several parking decks within a few blocks of Durham Central Park. More information about parking and bus routes in downtown Durham can be found at parkdurham.org

What trucks come to the Food Truck Rodeo?

Each rodeo features a different assortment of trucks and breweries. We announce the line up a couple of weeks in advance. You can get up to date information about the food truck rodeos by following Durham Central Park on Instagram and Facebook.
