Melanated Creatives Market
- This event has passed.
Come join us this February, 12th at 501 Foster street in the heart of Durham as we celebrate and support creators, small businesses, performers and artists at ‘The Melanated Creatives Market‘. The few decades of reconstruction following the Civil War during the late 1800s left the southern United States in tumult. Durham, one the many southern regions were rebuilding infrastructure damaged by that war. This reconstruction led to Durham becoming Black Wall Street and was the hub of African-American businesses and financial services in North Carolina during the late 1800s and early 1900s.
Today, Durham has continued to grow and Inspire as the southern city we know and love as the Bull City. We are still creating, innovating and impacting the world as makers and as people who share hometown love wherever we go. Durham is also at the top of the list when it comes to cuisine both southern and fine delicacies. We will be featuring dozens of Durham’s finest creative minds and the best cuisine in the city. Come make connections, DISCOVER and SHOP LOCAL in Durham. (This Free community event is sponsored by VenusWraps)
