Join us for an open Spring Volunteer Workday at Durham Central Park! We hold workdays year-round during the Durham Farmers’ Market to clean up the gardens and paths in the park. If you love whacking weeds, trimming brush, mulching and generally making things look spiffy around the park, from the rain garden trail to along the creek, then this is the opportunity for you!

Our spring workdays are coming up: March 12 & 26 | April 9, 23| May 14, 28

If you decide to join, meet us at the corner of Foster St and Hunt St, by the bridge. And don’t forget to bring a water bottle and closed toed shoes; we will provide the gloves and tools! See you Saturday! Click here to sign up for our open Spring Volunteer Workday or just pass through and join us!

Looking to host your wedding, class, private gathering or public event at Durham Central Park?

You’re in luck. The DCP Pavilion is one of the most affordable spaces in downtown Durham! And rental fees ensure that we can continue to provide space for the community. The Pavilion is a versatile 9000 sq. ft. covered space centrally located in Durham Central Park. Pavilion rentals can include access to the bathrooms, water, electricity, and storage depending on the event’s needs. Read more about rental rates and requirements for renting the Pavilion for your event*

Additionally, you can support the park today by making a tax-deductible donation. Although City of Durham owns Durham Central Park, we do not receive city funding. As a result, the 501(c)3 nonprofit DCP Inc. programs, maintains, and funds the park and all its projects. By becoming a sustainer, you can support this beautiful green space in Downtown Durham’s backyard! Moreover, your monthly, quarterly or annual gift to the park means the world! You can give at any level that makes sense to you. Sustainer gifts of all sizes help keep the park a wonderful space for all.
