Still Sober: A Live Listening Experience
- This event has passed.

Join us for Khalil Nasim upcoming musical offering, Still Sober: A Live Listening Experience, an evening of music, conversation, art, and community in the heart of Durham Central Park.
Designed as a relaxed summer kickback, this free public event invites guests to unwind after work, connect with friends, enjoy classic cookout fare, and experience Still Sober in an intimate outdoor setting. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs or blankets, settle into the park, and enjoy an evening centered around creativity and connection.
Throughout the event, the album will be presented in curated segments, giving listeners the opportunity to fully experience the music as intended. Between sections, Khalil Nasim will share the inspiration and stories behind the project through a moderated conversation, followed by an open Q&A where attendees can ask questions about the album, the creative process, and more.
Adding to the immersive atmosphere, local artist Kette will create a live art installation inspired by the music as the evening unfolds, blending visual art with the live listening experience.
Whether you’re a longtime supporter or discovering the music for the first time, Still Sober is an opportunity to slow down, enjoy great food, meaningful conversation, and celebrate art in a welcoming community space.
This experience is a collaboration between Khalil Nasim and The Most Open, a Durham-based creative platform known for fostering authentic community through music, conversation, and live experiences. Together, they aim to create an intentional evening that celebrates local art, meaningful dialogue, and connection.
Event Time: 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM
